Benefits at KSPT

Our Benefits...

Nine holidays per year are observed by KYOCERA SGS Precision Tools. KSPT allows for one of these days
to be voted on by all associates as a floating holiday.

KSPT offers paid vacation to all full-time associates. The amount of vacation time to which associates are
entitled depends on "continuous" years of service.

401(k) Profit Sharing

Our 401(k) plan is available to all associates ages 18 and older that have completed their 90-day
introductory period. KSPT provides a 50% matching contribution for the first 6% of participants' compensation.
In addition to a traditional 401(k), associates can contribute to a Roth 401(k).

KSPT Bonus Program

Funds are "earned" for quarterly associate bonuses/distribution when defined measures of the Company meet
established performance "gains".

Company Paid Life Insurance

All associates receive this benefit, which is 1X annual earnings up to $250,000 payable to the beneficiary in
the event of their death. In addition, an Accidental Death and Dismemberment benefit to all associates is also at
1X annual earnings up to $250,000 payable to the beneficiary. KSPT also offers voluntary (or optional) term life

Company Paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability

KSPT provides disability benefits for an associate that is wholly disabled due to non-occupational accidents or
illness. These are company-paid benefits requiring no contributions from associates.

Company Paid Medical Plan

Any regular full time associate with 90 days of service is eligible for benefits. Associates may elect a medical choice
that is most suitable through a Cafeteria Plan.

Dental/Vision Plans

Optional benefits that provide coverage for dental and vision care are offered at reasonable rates for associates and
their families.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Health care expenses such as prescription drugs, deductibles, co-pays, and other medical, dental, vision or hearing
care expenses that are not reimbursed by a policy or plan can be reimbursed through an FSA account on a pre-tax
basis. Eligible associates can contribute up to $2500 a year to their FSA account.

Fitness Club Membership

KSPT offers reimbursement for a yearly cost of a qualified health club membership. The associate must be a regular
full time associate and have met the 90-day waiting period.

Wellness Program (Individual Weight & Wellness Exams)

Through a third party, individualized weight goals are established. In addition, participants may complete preventive
wellness screenings to qualify for wellness credits.

Employee Assistance Program

The purpose of the EAP is to assist associates with everyday concerns such as parenting, improving family relationships,
managing money, legal, childcare, eldercare, balancing work and family, and more.

College Educational and Training Programs

KSPT provides full time associates reimbursement for university educational courses directly related to their current job
classification or a related organizational career path. Current reimbursement amounts offer up to $9,000 per year
and $36,000 reimbursement for a Bachelor's Degree!

State Certified Apprentice Program

KSPT sponsors qualified associates in the 4-year apprenticeship program. KSPT pays 100% for tuition, loans books for
classes and pays for completion certificates. This valuable program enriches associates' machining skills and increases
their understanding of machine tools and metal cutting. Graduates of this program receive Journeyman Toolmaker
Certification by the State of Ohio.

Training Within Industry (TWI)

The TWI program is designed to improve overall equipment effectiveness (O.E.E.), reduce scrap, improve morale
and foster better communications between departments and shifts.

Cool Stuff...

Air Conditioned Environment

Our facilities and operation environments are climate controlled! (Get it? Cool stuff?)

Referral Program

If an associate refers candidates that become an addition to the KSPT workforce, it is worth as much as $500 if the
referred candidate is hired!

Each year KSPT recognizes associates that have more than five (5) years of service. Associates may select from a
wide variety of award options for their years of service including high tech gadgets, sporting equipment, electronics,
gift cards, and more!

receive a gift card or movie tickets just for submitting a suggestion. A winning suggestion could get you $1,550 in your pocket!

Marina Fridman

Name: Marina Fridman
Title: Territory Manager, International

Meet Marina:

Marina speaks several foreign languages and enjoys swimming in the warm sea!

In Marina's Words:

I'm very happy to be a member of a special, dynamic multinational international customer service team. We take pride in listening to our customers and being able to communicate with them in their native language when servicing their accounts.

I like to travel, bike, hike and swim in the warm sea. When I travel, it is always interesting to meet new people and learn new customs. When I'm not traveling or swimming I enjoy good books, movies and listening to all kinds of music, classical, jazz and ethnic music from different parts of the world.

Gary Miller

Name: Gary Miller
Title: Director of Training and Occupational Development

Meet Gary:

Gary creates dynamic training programs for KSPT, rides a Harley Davidson Road Glide Ultra and does volunteer work for his church!

In Gary's Words:

As the Director of Training and Occupational Development for KYOCERA SGS Precision Tools, I am proud of the training and education programs we offer our associates. Our programs are comparable to those offered by much larger companies. We also offer a career counseling program that will help associates prepare for their future career goals within KSPT.

Riding my Harley Road Glide Ultra is great therapy. Wind in my face, wife on the back, you just can't beat it. I also enjoy working with a Christian motorcycle organization from my church. When you help others it is a wonderful feeling. I don't know who gets more out of it, the people we help or myself. I also enjoy spending time with my family and reading.

Ernest Garza

Name: Ernest Garza
Title: Sales Director, Latin America

Meet Ernest:

Ernest is a 20-year member of the Sales Engineering Team who enjoys cheering on the San Antonio Spurs!

In Ernest's Words:

Working with the KSPT Sales Engineering Team the past twenty years has been both fulfilling and rewarding to me. Having had the opportunity to introduce proven and truly revolutionary tooling like the Z-Carb End Mill has given me a sense of pride making a difference in the manufacturing industry.

My hobbies include white water rafting, kayaking and canoeing. I am a Live NBA Basketball Active supporter of the San Antonio Spurs. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, listening to music and practicing on my blues harmonica.

Doug Bonfiglio

Name: Doug Bonfiglio
Title: R&D Engineer

Meet Doug:

Doug is a creative R&D engineer who is also a born and bred Chevy man!

In Doug's Words:

In addition to product development, the Research and Development team also evaluates competitor products, which is not an easy task when you're a worldwide company. We also evaluate new substrate materials, physical vapor deposition coatings, a variety of treatment processes, edge honing methods, surface finish polishing and more. It goes without saying; the work here is always interesting for those with an inquisitive mind.

My interests outside of work center around anything with rubber tires, particularly cars and motorcycles. I was born a Chevy man and believe drag racing is the only form of motorsport. Being blessed a drag racer and Chevy man means I'm adept at and thoroughly enjoy all forms of car crafting, from fabrication to painting.

I also enjoy motorcycling. I've been riding for 14 years now, and knock wood, the shiny side is still up. Most of my riding serves as transportation to and from work, although there is the occasional getaway with friends, which I particularly enjoy. Lately I've been thinking of drag racing a bike as a cheaper means of going faster. That's what I'm thinking.

I'm a homebody and usually happiest when puttering around the old ranch. The other odd job comes along. Fixing anything is a challenge I find enjoyable.

As a final interest, I'd say weightlifting. It's an on and off habit that I always come back to and a nice challenge for mind and body that might be particularly useful as this youngest daughter of mine nears the dating age.

Kathy Frye

Name: Kathy Frye
Title: Distribution Center A

Meet Kathy:

Kathy is an enthusiastic member of our Distribution Center team and also an enthusiastic soccer mom!

In Kathy's Words:

KYOCERA SGS Precision Tools is a great place to work. It is a company in the middle of a small community that is making a huge impact in the cutting tool world. From offering a clean, comfortable working environment, to offering company-paid health insurance, KSPT is a company that cares about its associates. There is so much more, but I suggest you find out for yourself and come work for a GREAT TEAM that actually cares.

I am a "major" soccer mom right now and just recently became a "volleyball" mom. My weekends are filled with the kids' sporting activities as well as walking my two dogs Magnie, an airedale, and Moxie, a miniature schnauzer.

Cleve Trump

Name: Cleve Trump
Title: Quality Inspector A

Meet Cleve:

Cleve knows a variety of CNC machines inside and out, enjoys motorcycling and being "PapPap" to his grandson!

In Cleve's Words:

As an associate at KYOCERA SGS Precision Tools for the past 25 years, I've had many opportunities, including learning to set up and run a variety of machines. With the company's support and encouragement, I earned my Journeyman certificate. I am actively involved in the company safety program serving as a building safety representative and have traveled to several conferences and trade shows.

On weekends, you can find me bowling in two leagues or golfing (whenever Cleveland weather permits).

Jeff Zaucha

Name: Jeff Zaucha
Title: Treasurer

Meet Jeff:

Jeff makes all our customers feel like part of the family and spends fall Saturdays with the Ohio State Buckeyes!

In Jeff's Words:

One of the most attractive features about working at KYOCERA SGS Precision Tools is the sense of belonging. KSPT affords many avenues for its associates to get involved...not only with their individual departments, but in the overall business itself. Through various team-building experiences as well as company-wide programs, each associate has an opportunity to make a difference. It is a family-owned business and every associate is treated like a part of the family.

When I am away from work, my favorite activity is playing with my children, Makenna, Rylee, and Brayden. I also enjoy running, playing golf and volleyball. Of course, when it comes to Saturday afternoons in the fall, they are consumed with Ohio State Football. Go Bucks!!
